The Hood of a Tesla

When I first took delivery of my Tesla, the silence of driving without an engine took some getting used to. There are far fewer moving parts in EVs compared to gas cars which helps clear up space where the engine normally sits. This begs the question, what have automakers done with the excess area under the hood? Many have added a front trunk, also known as a frunk amongst the Tesla community. When you’re done using your frunk, there’s a correct way to put the hood back in place to avoid damage. Continue reading for steps on how to properly close the hood of a Tesla Model 3 and Model Y.

A key factor in any car purchasing decision is storage. Naturally, the first place most think of when it comes to storage is the trunk. One annoyance that you may come across in newer vehicles is the opening height of their automatic trunks. The cars of today mostly have fixed positions for their liftgates, which can be an issue for some. Whether the normal location is too tall, or you’re avoiding a low ceiling, being able to set it where you want is an added perk. Lucky for you, the liftgate position is adjustable for the entire Tesla lineup. Continue reading for steps on how to adjust the opening height of the trunk of a Tesla.

Tesla’s are known for their unique designs, minimalistic interior, and fantastic software. However, one thing that’s often overlooked with this electric car lineup is their storage capabilities. Between the frunk (front trunk) and rear trunk, which has added storage compartments, there’s plenty of cargo space – especially when the rear seats are folded. Personally, I’ve completed quite a few trips where I was able to fit small furniture and other items into my Model 3 with the seats down. Something Tesla vehicles have kept consistent for the Model 3 and Model Y is a minimal design, both on the exterior and interior of the cars. There are virtually no buttons, except for a few on the steering wheel, as the majority of actions are accomplished using the 15-inch screen or with voice commands. In most cars, the glovebox is typically opened by either pushing on it or using a handle. However, as part of Tesla’s minimalistic approach, there’s no way to physically open the glovebox.
