1) Plan Your Trip

It maps out what Superchargers you should stop at along your journey, and also preconditions your vehicle’s battery for charging as you approach the station. It’ll also provide time estimates for each stop, and you’ll therefore get a good idea of how long the entire trip will take.

2) Precondition

To have the most efficient drive possible, it’s important to Precondition the car, which prepares the vehicle’s battery so it’s ready to go when you depart. This can be done by opening the Tesla mobile app and selecting Climate > Turn On. It’s best to complete the Preconditioning while the car is plugged in, as it won’t deplete the battery in any way.
