Model Y Cargo Screen – Retractable

This is very similar to the Cargo screen cover I had on my 2016 Model S. It is so much better than the cover supplied with my Model Y. It should be original equipment from Tesla. Also it should have a simple instruction sheet included and the 4 stick on parts should be labeled: Left Front, Left Rear, Right Front and Right Rear. It would simplify installation greatly.

The cargo screen came well packaged and without any damage. I did not notice any instructions in the package but it was quite self explanatory, especially after reviewing some on line videos. The most challenging part was to peel off the backing tape from the back of the 4 pieces that needed to be stuck to the car panels. Make sure you do a dry fit before peeling off the tape so you know where the pieces fit properly. Once installed, I found it fit very well and no issues. It is 100% better than the awkward folding cover supplied by Tesla.

Fits well and easy to install and remove

The factory cover that comes with the Model Y is extremely bulky, and difficult to put in a partially retracted position. In addition, when you don't want to use the factory edition cargo area cover, it takes up a lot of room in the car if you take it with you. In contrast to that, the Tesloid retractable cargo shade is easy to install, lightweight, easy to retract, and easy to completely remove and carry with you in the car. In fact, it fits easily under the cargo area floor. Highly recommend as a excellent replacement for the original actory equipment that provides much more flexibility and ease of use. Quality of material is also very good, and a perfect match to the car's interior. Very happy with my purchase.

Fits well and accomplishes exactly what you’d except. It’s what Tesla should have done with the OEM cover
