Model Y Cargo Screen – Retractable

I'll admit it. I really dislike the stock Tesla Model Y parcel shelf that came with my 2024 Model Y. It works but it is clunky and heavy. I searched for months to find a solution that would give me the ease and functionality of the cargo screen that I had with my traded in 2005 Subaru Forester.

Tesloid is the only vendor I found who had such a product. The other vendors had retractable screens that worked with earlier Model Y's, not those with stock parcel shelves. I jumped on it.

It was easy to install and works perfectly. I do have to remove it when carrying my dog crates as the crates are too long to fit into the trunk with the screen in place. But that's easy to do, too.

I applaud Tesloid for offering this needed and welcome product. Why Tesla didn't include these as standard equipment is a mystery.

It installed easily in our 2023 Tesla Y and is so much better than what came with the car. It retracts well and seems to be well made. Highly recommend.

This is very similar to the Cargo screen cover I had on my 2016 Model S. It is so much better than the cover supplied with my Model Y. It should be original equipment from Tesla. Also it should have a simple instruction sheet included and the 4 stick on parts should be labeled: Left Front, Left Rear, Right Front and Right Rear. It would simplify installation greatly.

The cargo screen came well packaged and without any damage. I did not notice any instructions in the package but it was quite self explanatory, especially after reviewing some on line videos. The most challenging part was to peel off the backing tape from the back of the 4 pieces that needed to be stuck to the car panels. Make sure you do a dry fit before peeling off the tape so you know where the pieces fit properly. Once installed, I found it fit very well and no issues. It is 100% better than the awkward folding cover supplied by Tesla.
